Welcome to The Common House. Helping women is our utmost common goal, however, our tale of how we got here comes from uncommon circumstances. Tony Pera, an Ohio native, had been working in the behavioral healthcare field in Southern California for over 3 years, when he took a leap of faith, asked his then girlfriend to marry him, and quit his steady job. Mary Amann, the new fiancé, had been working in the same field all the while, and recognized a need in the community for a safe place for women in recovery. The idea sprouted for a common place where women could stay to focus on their recovery, blossom in their personal lives, and bond over one shared goal.
